We generally sell tickets on behalf of third parties (artists, sports teams, venues, and promoters). The face value of these tickets is set by these third parties.
In exchange for the right to sell these tickets, we pay these third parties a portion of the commissions collected, such as service fees, order management fees, and sometimes the delivery fees (each of these options is described below). The portion of the fees that we keep (whether in the context of a ticket purchase or merchandising) allows us to maintain our network.
The price of a ticket is made up of the following elements:
Face value
The face value (also known as the base price) is generally set by the third party we work for. In most cases, Ticketmaster will transfer the amount equivalent to the face value of the tickets sold to its third parties, minus certain costs.
Service fee and order processing fee
There is usually a service fee per ticket and an order processing fee per order that vary from event to event. (The order processing fee is generally not applied when you purchase at the box office) Ticketmaster.be and its third parties generally establish and share these fees.
Delivery fee
We offer a range of delivery methods, with corresponding fees that are calculated when you finalize your order. Examples of different delivery methods are: regular delivery by post, delivery by registered mail, or print at home.
Venue fee
The venue fee is set by the venue where the event takes place. It is collected by Ticketmaster.be, and transferred in its entirety to the venue.
Taxes
Taxes are generally included in the face value of the ticket. In some cases, however, taxes may be listed as a separate charge.
Why do I have to pay reservation/service charges?
