Why isn’t Rock Werchter taking place in 2020?
The National Security Council decided that large gatherings including festivals are banned in Belgium until 31 August. The health and safety of festivalgoers, artists, crew and volunteers is the first priority of the festival organisers. Following government guidelines. Taking responsibility. Looking after yourself and those around you. Stopping the virus. That’s all that matters now.

When will Rock Werchter take place in 2021?
Rock Werchter 2021 will take place from 1 July to 4 July (Thursday to Sunday).

Will Rock Werchter 2021 have the same line-up as in 2020?
A first round of confirmed names can be announced. Some of the artists who were booked for 2020 are reconfirmed for 2021: Pearl Jam, Twenty One Pilots, Pixies, The Lumineers, Thom Yorke Tomorrow’s Modern Boxes, Rag ’n’ Bone Man, The Streets, Cigarettes After Sex, Miles Kane, Fontaines D.C., GoGo Penguin, Cavetown, Big Thief, Girl In Red, Black Pumas and The Dead South. New names are rolling into the 2021 line-up as well: Gorillaz, alt-J, Jamie xx, Royal Blood, Nothing But Thieves and Boy Pablo . Check the line-up page and find out who’s playing when!

What about the tickets bought for Rock Werchter 2020 and other festival products (camping tickets, food/drink vouchers, accommodation …)? Will these be refunded?
When the government decided in April that the festival summer had to be postponed to next year, we had already proposed a ticket arrangement for Rock Werchter, in accordance with the ministerial decision following the COVID-19 pandemic. Since then the arrangement has been fine-tuned, even simplified. Here is the update: your order for Rock Werchter 2020 will be fully transferred to the 2021 event. You don't have to do anything. The updated tickets and related products (if any) will automatically be placed in your 'My Account' from Friday, 10 July, ready for you to use in 2021. But if you prefer, you can have your 2020 order converted into credit . That credit can be spent on any of the festivals that will take place at the Festivalpark in Werchter in 2021 and 2022. You can request this credit at any time between 15 September and 31 December 2020. You will receive an e-mail explaining the whole procedure before 15 September.

The credit is free to spend on any festival organised in the Festivalpark in Werchter during 2021 and 2022. What does this mean in practical terms?
You decide yourself how you will spend the credit. You can place the same order as in 2020, or you might also choose to buy tickets for TW Classic or Werchter Boutique, for example. There’s plenty of options. The choice is yours.

I bought a combi ticket for Rock Werchter in 2020. I have used the credit that was issued to buy a ticket for Werchter Boutique 2021. There is still an outstanding balance. What can I do with that?
You can also use this in 2022 to buy tickets for any of the festivals in the Festivalpark in Werchter. If the remaining balance is insufficient to complete the purchase of the desired product, then you can simply pay the remainder.   

I don't want any credit. Can I get a refund?
Each ticket buyer is granted a credit worth the full amount spent on the reservation for Rock Werchter 2020. The (Belgian) Minister of Economy and Consumer Affairs has taken measures for the entire live music sector. Exceptionally and under strict conditions, a credit can be granted instead of a refund. If you are unable to attend the festival in 2021 or 2022, you can request a refund via Ticketmaster from 15 September. You will receive an e-mail explaining the whole procedure before 15 September.

I didn’t buy my Rock Werchter 2020 ticket through Ticketmaster. How can I arrange my credit?
Please get in touch with the ticket vendor you bought the ticket from for further information.  Ticketmaster is the official Rock Werchter ticket partner.

We can’t emphasize this enough: please take care and only buy your concert tickets through the official channels! Tickets bought through other vendors may be forgeries or invalid, and you may be denied entry to the festival.
